A little history!
Comfort means not only a place to put up your feet; it also means rooms that are a reflection of intimacy and warmth— which is what the visitor finds at Bakkies— and much more.
Bakkies B&B is named after Bakkies Smit, long time host of what was without doubt Wellington's most popular out-of-town restaurant, "Bakkies se Padstal" as it was known in the Afrikaans language. (English translation: Bakkies Farmstall).
After retiring from managing the restaurant in 1997, Bakkies sold the business, whereafter he entered the accommodation service. Bakkies aims to offer a uniquely hospitable, effortless stay for his guests.
You can always rely on the personal service and warm hospitality from Bakkies, Ronel (wife) and Marius du Plessis (manager).
